What is the cost of a full animal?

Our whole beef is $8.25/lb of hanging weight (850–1,000 lbs). The $1,200 deposit applies to a total of $7,013–$8,250 based on weight.

What is the cost of a half beef?

Our half beef is $8.50/lb of hanging weight (425–500 lbs). The $600 deposit applies to a total of $3,613–$4,250 based on weight.

What is the cost for a quarter?

A quarter beef is $8.75/lb of hanging weight (212–250 lbs). We require a $300 deposit toward a $1,860–$2,188 total based on weight.

When is final billing settled?

Final payment must be cleared within 3 days of us obtaining the certified hanging weight from the facility workers.

How long until the next batch?

We currently have three cattle open for booking. All animals are mature or reaching an estimated state of readiness.

How do hanging weight and packaged weight actually differ?

Final price depends on hanging weight. Packaged take-home (e.g. 500–550 lbs for a whole) is less due to bone and moisture loss.

Is advanced booking welcome?

Yes. Wagyu-cross cattle require an estimated 180 days to finish. We provide a simple pre-order system for our upcoming herds.

Cost & Weighting

What is the current pricing for whole, half, and quarter beef?

Whole ($8.25/lb, $1,200 deposit), Half ($8.50/lb, $600 deposit), and Quarter ($8.75/lb, $300 deposit). Final cost is dependent on the actual certified hanging weight of the animal at processing.

Do you offer quarter beef or small cuts?

We offer whole, half, and quarter beef. A quarter beef at $8.75/lb of hanging weight yields about 125–140 lbs of take-home meat, consisting primarily of boneless cuts and ground beef.

When do I pay the final total?

Your final balance is required within 3 days of Walker Beef Co. obtaining the verified hanging weight from our local processing partner.

How do you define hanging weight?

Hanging weight refers to the weight of the animal immediately after harvest and before it is aged or butchered. This metric is the industry standard used to determine your final investment.

What is the wait for future reservations?

Our Wagyu-cross cattle need an estimated 180 days of finishing time to reach peak quality. Final dates are an estimated window based on growth progress and local processor availability.
